We are looking for a new colleague to join us as a skilled Java developer in Customer Relationship Management cluster in Cross Functional key area.
You would mainly work on an application called PIA which needs to be migrated from current WebSphere to TomCat (after migration approx. 6 months you you will work on other application(s) where you will have the possibility to use React and other frameworks). The application is a complex solution written in Java Enterspsie Edition and has an Oracle database underneath which we also need you to have experience with. The application also leverages several UNIX scripts that need to be migrated to the new production environment, which would also be your job.

The current team resides mostly in Frankfurt, Germany, but the communication language is English.We need you to take over this application and ensure its safe transition to the new target landscape along with troubleshooting all possible issues in the process.
Your tasks
- Develop, troubleshoot and migrate an Enterprise Java application called PIA.
- Support any changes to the underlying Oracle database.
- Establish TomCat environment(s) and migrate current WebSphere Java application to it.
- Migrate existing UNIX scripts to the new server environment(s).
Your profile
Required:
- Confident knowledge of Java enterprise edition and OOP (expected ~5 years of experience).
- Experience with setting up, running and maintenance of TomCat applications.
- Oracle database – basic knowhow.
- Unix shell scripting knowledge – basic.
- Fluency in English – both written and spoken as you will be in daily contact with native and non-native speakers.
Optional:
- Knowledge of SingleSignOn mechanism and it’s implementation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD.
- Bank knowledge in general – to understand the business.
- Basic knowledge of IBM BPM.
- Basic knowledge of Kafka.
- Basic knowledge of UC4.
- German language understanding.
